Why BabySafe
I'm a chemical engineer, and for years I worked with non-toxic formulas across skincare and household products. Reading every ingredient list is a habit for me, not a chore.
When I was pregnant, that habit didn't go away. I looked for baby products in East Africa that I trusted the way I trusted my own work, and I couldn't find them.
So I started mixing my own. A wash, then a butter, both with short ingredient lists I understood and stood behind, tested on my own daughter before I offered them to anyone else.
Non-toxic and fragrance-free were never marketing words to me. They were already the standard I worked to.
That's how BabySafe started. What began as something for my own baby is now something families across Tanzania and Kenya trust too.
